+ Chakra Clearing

In my last post I had mentioned that I would be having a Chakra Clearing. Before I shared what happened I wanted to truly observe how I felt afterwards.

In the past I’ve had a couple of Intuitive sessions and one Reiki session. I love learning and growing through different spiritual mediums. So when I found out about the opportunity to volunteer as a case study for Chakra Clearing, I contacted the person right away.

The clearing took place on a super moon, which I though was a great day for it. When I got there she told me a little bit about Shaman and how there is a lot of animal
energies involved like dolphin. Then we did an opening and she read as we faced west, north, east, south, earth and air. We lit some sage wafted the smoke around us to purify the surroundings (smudging). I thought white would be the best colour to wear for the clearing and I made sure to remove all my jewellery. She had a massage table set up with a white sheet on it that I layed down on. Milky quartz was given to me to place where ever I felt appropriate, so I placed it just below my chest.

Then she opened her 8th chakra and brought the energy down to me. Without her hands touching me I could feel the energies moving around and releasing. I kept looking to my third eye and when it was cleared of blocked energy I could absolutely feel the difference, it wasn’t cloudy anymore.

During the session things would come up, for instance she could really pick up Turtle Totem energy. Turtle is the oldest symbol for the Earth. It is the personification of goddess energy and the eternal Earth itself. If you have a Turtle totem, you must be mindful of returning to the Earth what she has given you. Honour the creative source within you. Use water and earth energies to create a harmonious flow in your life. Ask the Earth for assistance and her riches will pour forth.

Then she was able to pick up Bear Totem energy when she got closer to my root chakra. Bear totem is a consummate mother, caring for young with observable devotion. a symbol of motherhood and child protection. Has imminent domain, fully prepared to defend; sovereignty, courage and themes of the warrior. theme of resurrection. After a long period of deep, introspective comatose span of inaction –the bear emerges, victorious, driven to sustain life. Hibernating with our ideas/projects. connecting to both earth-based energy and celestial forces. tap into the wax, wane, flow of life.

She told me that to clear and release energies quickly to go outside barefoot on the grass for a bit. I looked more into my animal totems and connected with much of what was written. I am a nature girl for sure, not so much active but I love the stillness and beauty of the woods and by water. Shaun and I will one day have some land by the water where we can just be free with our girls.

So after my session was done she closed it by focusing on the flower of life. I had never heard of the flower of life only the tree of life. But when I looked up the image, I’ve known it all my life. It’s actually one of my favourite patterns.

It was suggested that I have a sea salt bath that night, and she gave me some sage to take home. I took my time driving home and it was a nice drive with my windows down and no music. Later that night I was pretty sleepy and I had a bit of a headache, so I thought that was my cue to take the bath. I lit some of the sage in the bathroom and placed about 1/4 cup of sea salt in the tub. Four candles were place around me and I just soaked there for a bit. The headache didn’t go but I felt lighter. The next day I was still really sleepy, but at peace. The girls were really nice to each other in the morning so it helped me stay in a calming mood. We went outside on the deck while I enjoyed some tea and then I walked barefoot down in the grass. The girls were like hey mom…put on your shoes! I told them it felt good barefoot and I wasn’t going in the dirt.

Overall I would do this experience again. She will need someone in a few months for the next stage in her learning so I look forward to the fall.
